Social Media Effects Terrorism What is cyber terrorism exactly? Cyber terrorism is known for â€Å"an electronic terrorism or information wars, can be defined as any act of Internet terrorism which includes deliberate and large-scale attacks and disruptions of computer networks using computer viruses, or physical attacks using malware, to attack individuals, governments, and organizations† (Paul Curran). Terrorist have gotten a lot clever and started using social media to alert, recruit, and scare the public with their terrifying messages about their organizations and attacks they plan to make in the future. This was a boost for Terrorist organizations to get their messages out to the world and to get more people to join them. Problems started to rise from Twitter, Instagram, video messages posted on Facebook or any website out there. We now have to take this problem in our hands and take a step forward to try and resolve this â€Å"cyber terrorism† threat from going any further. Cyber terrorism was a term that Barry C.
